I grew up in Waterford, Ireland and I live in London. I was trained as a theoretical physicist at Trinity College Dublin and then as a material scientist at King's College London. I have worked at Happy Electron and I was a Fulbright Scholar at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.

My research interests and experience are in the following topics

• Quantum Information Systems: superconducting qubits, quantum computing.

• Beyond Moore's law: oxide electronics, high performant batteries.

• Method developments for many body physics: Quantum Monte Carlo, Neural Networks, Dynamical Mean Field Theory.
